Ocean Palm

It's a bit more expensive than 9k, but it has 6 bedrooms and a great place for the ceremony.

Pelican

There is a spot near the end of Vie's property to swim right out to PR. You'll see a tree surrounded by a rock and cement planter and a couple of old rowboats there. Sometimes a dingie too. It's an easy sand entry and a 10 minute or less swim to the rock. It's interesting on the way out too. As you ...

South End, East End, etc.

I guess you're right. It is more easterly than Fish, Rendezvous etc. But it's South of the far East end. Since calling it the SEE end sounds dumb, I'll go with East end! Thanks. Going home tomorrow. Waves can't drive bad thoughts out of my head. "How many work emails will I have" "Wha...

We went to the most recent party. Miss Lucys FMP is awesome.

Not sure about teenagers though. I didn't see any.

There was smoking and drinking going on DUH. But I didn't hear much profanity or see anything inappropriate.

I'd call Miss Lucys to see if it was ok to bring the teens.

Casa Tua - one day left review

Hello, I'm sitting on the covered patio watching the sailboats race by. Trade winds are constant here. No need to use the air conditioning, just open up the doorwall and you're all set. Wednesday we did the Brown Bay trail and snorkel. This was a nice moderate trail with a nice beach at the end of t...

Trip Review - Midpoint

Hi from Casa Tua on St. John's Southeast side. Day 1, Travel Day. Worst travel day yet. Fly into Philly and find out our plane is broken. Altimeter is not working. 2 hour delay. We finally take off. 45 minutes into the flight the pilot says the gauge still does not work. We have to dump fuel and go ...

Lemon Shark

My vote is Lemon Shark. Dolphin no. A dolphin would have swam towards you and jumped over you and then lifted his head out of the water and said, "ak-ak-ak-ak-squeeee" The shark was probably more scared than you. The place I'm staying in three weeks has a reef in front with dependable shar...

Thanks Bum!

Thanks SJBum. CT looks great on the internet. I'm surprised I don't remember the Villa as I've stayed at Ocean Palm and Heaven's Gate, so I've been in the area. Thanks for the info on the snorkeling. I'll be snorkeling there and hope to find Haulover North calm enough to snorkel. It's funny that peo...

Casa Tua in one month

Hi,

We're staying in Casa Tua in Feb.

Sound like you are enjoying the Villa?

I've heard there is great snorkeling right in front of the Villa. Have you tried that out? Thanks!

Ocean Palm

Don't forget to check out Ocean Palm. 6 bedrooms all with outdoor showers. 2 pools. 1 is normal St John size. The other is probably one of the largest on the island and 'infinity' overlooking the John's Folly Bay. There are some things that didn't work when we were there. Mostly the main house air (...

Ooops

I didn't see the taxi and Cruz bay requirement. It was well hidden within the 3 sentence post.

Ocean Palm is good if you want that 'end of the earth' feeling.

Ocean Palm

Hi,

We're staying in Ocean Palm with 13 people in June. It has 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and 2 pools. It's located right on the ocean. A google search returns several links with photos and or video.

Secret Harbor vs Sapphire Beach - rare St Thomas question!

Hi, I'll be in St. Thomas next week on a cruise. I'm either going to go to Sapphire Beach or Secret Harbor. The most important feature is snorkeling. I know neither is as good as St. John, but which of the two on St. Thomas have the best snorkeling? Going to St. John that day is not in the cards (so...

Villa

Try Heaven's Gate. It has everthing you want. I think off season is around 4k, but might be a touch higher now.

We stayed there last November. The villa is nearly brand new. We'll definitely go back.

Wedding Photos in Cruz Bay

Hi, I'll be in SJ from June 18-25 to photograph a wedding. I was hoping to get some photos in town. I was wondering if locals think that the Cruz Bay fence will be down by then, considering island time. The fence just goes around the park where the gazebo is correct? That's too bad though. It's such...
