Early October or Thanksgiving?
We are planning (at least I am!) our next trip. We've been 4 times, July, March & New Years. We must travel during school breaks. Our choices for our next trip are October 3-10 2015 or Thanksgiving week 2015. 2 adults, 2 kids, they will be 12 & 14. We mostly love to snorkel & fish, eat i...

Re: Tequila Sunrise
We stayed there New Years 2011. It has a very nice covered deck & outdoor dining area, but the pool was too cold to use at that time of year & there is no dishwasher if that is important to you. The drive to the house is an adventure but doable in a jeep, we find that part of the charm of ST...

Re: Are you an RN in the USVI or looking to relocate?
The nurse I met said she took a significant pay cut, they 'retired' from the northeast. She & her husband rent an apt on STT & own a small boat.

Re: Are you an RN in the USVI or looking to relocate?
When we were on island in March we visited Myrah Keating for steroids for my daughter. I am a nurse & they told me they are desperate for nurses! There was a position at the clinic as well as the hospital on STT.

Re: Any Fishermen On Island?
We really enjoyed our day with World Class Anglers. They live on STJ & are truly fishermen. We caught mahi & wahoo. They were great with our group that ranged in age from 10-70. Lots of shade & a real bathroom on their boat.

Re: Undercover....
As a timeshare owner at the Westin, one who pays an annual maintenance fee, and when the few times want to relax at the Westin pool but no lounge chairs are available or no clean towels are ready - makes me wonder? Can I just drop by a villa, when nobody is home, and make use of the villa pool? You...

Re: Sago palms replacement house in architectural digest
And it wasn't just Sago Palms that was lost... The villa that was on the footprint that the monster replaced was called Villa Marisla. It was an old island-style home built with teak and native stone. There was an enormous stained glass window featuring a whale breaching the surface that was just a...

We used the Myrah Keating clinic a few weeks ago for our daughter. It was terrific & I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

We were there two weeks ago for a light lunch on a Friday. We arrived around 11am & the service & food were terrific! Loved the chicken roti.

2 weeks ago they were blue & white stripes. They were everywhere!
I assume you have been to STJ several times. I'm in the "if you want to hang at the Westin pool on STJ, then STJ isn't for you." I have never stayed at the Westin nor been to their pool.

Sorry, I had no idea they were competitors.
From what I understand, the car barges are only hourly on the hour currently due to barges that are not operational. Can anyone confirm?

Re: QUICK! Best south shore/east end beach for all ages!
OP here! We had an amazing day at Little Lamesur. Plenty of parking at 11am, other groups came & went throughout the day. Several large groups, we are a group of 9 & were outnumbered. Great shade & snorkeling for all abilities. I could not believe the anoemonaes right at the shore, our n...
