Re: TD 9 - Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac

I've set up a computer with two monitors so I can view storm progress on St. John from 8 webcams but I haven't been able to get a live image from Villa Serendipity viewing Chocolate Hole for quite a while. Anybody know what's up with their webcam?

My solution

I've never been comfortable taking one of my guitars on the plane--checked as baggage ws definitely out and carry-on seems such an imposition on the other passengers. I solved the problem by gettting a ukulele. If you've been playing guitar for any length of time, the transition is a piece of cake a...

Augie just brought up something that's been a question in my mind for some time. How many forumites buy lottery tickets with the first dream expenditure of paying for Maho Camp and freeing it up for the world?

Miss Lucy's FMP

My wife and I attended MIss Lucy's November 2010 Full Moon Party and were impressed by the "family" feel at the event. There were several young children present and a number people who seemed well acquainted. The food, drinks, and music were great and the atmosphere was quite calm and rela...

We got home Saturday (actually Sunday) at 12:10 am. The shipment from St. John Spice was at our PO Box Monday morning and the smell of the single Spice Sampler that we purchased permeated the truck as I drove off. The truck and I were transported back to those twisty, steep roads as I drove to work ...

The school of jacks was the most amazing experience. They passed me while I was trying to clear a fogged lens on the camera and couldn't shoot. They overtook my wife from behind and totally startled her! I was bemoaning my bad luck when 5 minutes later they made a return pass. Joy! No fog! Best pics...

Yes, he had a short appendage I took to be a tail but it was much less than I expected. Google "spotted eagle ray" and you get lots of images showing the tail.

We heard that people had seen a manta the day before and were surprised to see the eagle ray. It looked like he was about 4 feet tip to tip.

I'm running the same pics plus more through Photoshop right now. I like the results better than those I got from Picasa so I may post more later.

Just tried the link. It showed that I have no albums but when I selected My Photos tab it showed 4 albums. If that doesnt work for you, let me know and I'll figure out why. The pics were experimental (new equipment) and the water was a bit murky but some came out pretty good with the help of picasa.
