Re: Beach Bar
Hi all, Just a few quick clarifications... No landlord issues at Wharfside at all. In fact, he is working with the Beach Bar on the rebuild. Wharfside did have business interruption insurance. Beach Bar had a ton of structural damage, so they can't open the bar or kitchen until that's fixed. They ca...

Re: Ecoli
Many of the beaches are currently safe and are being tested routinely thanks to Love City Strong. That can change, however, when it rains. There is a tremendous amount of runoff coming of the hillsides. So a beach can be safe one day and unsafe for the next few if there is rain. Oppenheimer and Maho...

Pretty much everything stays open. Here's a list from two years back. It should give you a good idea.

Yes, all of our barges are currently running. I have heard that there are very little wait times, which is great.

Re: Wine & Cheese
As someone who lives here and drinks wine, well let's just say more than I should (don't judge! lol), Island Cork, hands down, is the best place to buy wine and cheese on island. Paul has a great selection of wines, meats and cheeses, and they are all at a great price point. The best part, in my opi...

Yes you can. If Delta makes a flight change that requires a long layover you are allowed to cancel and get a full refund. Just call them up and ask.

Re: July 4th events
Mr. Piper's Jeeps is located past the roundabout. That means you will have to about a five minute walk from the ferry dock through the crowds up to their place. It's definitely doable and being that the parade is on a Saturday, changeover day, a ton of people will be doing the same thing. Justin, wh...

Re: July 4th events
July 4th is a pretty zany day on island. The parade starts around 11-ish. It starts behind the National Park Visitor's Center and goes up toward the roundabout. Last year, it lasted about six hours - no joke. The fireworks happen around 9-ish.

Re: Survey: power outages during your stay(s)?
It really doesn't happen that often. I think the last time we had this many outages in such a short period of time was last summer. Apparently there was an equipment failure on St. Thomas. That stressed the other equipment and then knocked that offline. So what's happening now is rolling outages whe...
