Re: What's on your Play List??

We used to go through the whole thing about choosing music to take down each time - first with cassettes, then Cds - but since my wife got me an ipod 3 years ago, everything has changed. I don't really think it terms of "island" music, though there is certainly some of that on there. What ...

Re: Trip report 4/29 thru 5/9 part 2

It cracks me up...my wife and I are looking at going to Hawaii for our 25th anniversary in October, but every time I read a report like this and see pictures like these, it just makes me want to get back there as fast as possible. It really is the True Jewel of the Caribbean! Thank you very much!

Re: Maho Bay sold December 27th

I thought the campground was within the boundaries of the park? Wrong? If not wrong, doesn't that affect what kind of development can go down?

Re: What is beyond the gas station?

Hi again, Minde! I was reading the additional posts and remembered another fun "tangent" off the south shore road. I don't know if your exploring will include any hiking, but this is really a short walk more than a hike anyway. A little past the Westin, you'll see Chocolate Hole Road beari...

Re: What is beyond the gas station?

Well, Hi, Minde! I've read so many of your posts that I'm a little surprised to read this one. You absolutely have to drive out the south shore road! And you need to do it more than once. On one trip, when you get to Gifft Hill, make the left and drive up,up, up until you get back to Centerline, the...

1st Timers coming in September. Hit us with your best shots!

Hello! I have already posted this on the TripAdvisor forum, but wanted to place it here as well to maximize the potential responses. Here goes: My wife and I are coming to VG in September for 10 days, and we want to know...well...everything. I have already had a number of helpful exchanges with ACB ...

When we were down at the end of February, we tried to stop in twice, but both times there was no sign of life, so I'm glad to hear others had better luck. The one thing I would mention as a fun thing to try there dates from our trip in 2008. They used to offer flights of rum to try (3 different rums...

TrvlJohn - I've really, really been enjoying the pictures, but I've lost track - how long have you been down there, and how much longer can we look forward to the "Live From..." photos? It's gonna be a real bummer when they stop. And I have to ask: Is ThingOne a Dr. Seuss reference? Again,...

This is for Teresa-Rae.

Sorry I dropped the ball on this. Please go ahead and PM me and I'll send you the pictures. I also have a silly little "tour video" of Great Escape if you'd like me to send that as well. Again, sorry for the delay...

Do you have any pictures of the new pool?[/quote]

Hi Teresa_Rae!

I know I have pictures, but I have to be honest, I've never uploaded a picture here, so don't really know how. But I will learn and post a couple as soon as I figure it out!!

Hi! Here's one for you to look at: http://www.caribehavens.com/great.htm We are recent converts to Fish Bay, having stayed there last May and again in February. And we stayed at two very different places, but the first, Fishbone, would be too small for you. This one, Great Escape, turned out to be o...

Hi! Here's one for you to look at: http://www.caribehavens.com/frangipani.htm Frangipani is a Coral Bay rental, a little past Shipwreck. It has two levels, each with its own bedroom & bathroom, and a loft. No hot tub, but a pool. Decks on both levels. Fantastic views across Coral to Haulover, th...
