Re: Miss Lucy's and Island Blues open?

Island Blues is closed but there is a great place across the road- OASIS. Karen cooks comfort food and sweet Sam serves it w...

Re: First time staying on Coral Bay side

It will be faster/ easier to buy your soda & ribs once you get to Coral Bay . Love City Grocery Store is the right turn at the dumpsters( just past old gas station)in Coral Bay . For ribs , Cases By The Sea , is two minutes past the grocery store on your way to your villa. Since it is going to b...

Re: Donkey Diner-new ownership?

The food is no longer good since the excellent chef , Matt , left . But the real reason we locals stopped going to Donkey Diner is we saw the new owner shooting the chickens with a BB gun. The sweet bush cats that the prior owners fed have also " disappeared" from the property . If you wan...

Re: Traditional "asking for hand in marriage" thoughts

Asking for a woman's " hand in marriage " is based on the assumption that the female is a possession to be passed from father to husband . Yup, that's the part that troubles me. It is particularly ironic given that the daughter who is the subject of this thread is a womens' studies major,...

Re: Caneel's Turtle Bay Estate House: feedback?

There are many excellent restaurants on St . John . Caneel's Turtle Bay is NOT one of them . I recommend ; Waterfront Bistro , Ocean Grill , ZOZOs or Cruz Bay Prime .
Bon appetite *
