Grande Bay question

Does anyone know if the fitness center in Grande Bay is open 24/7? We're staying there in July and my husband is wondering.

Re: Island Healthcare?

Here's another endorsement for the Myrah Keating Clinic. My husband had to go because of gout - when he came back he gave them a glowing review. I have *never* heard my husband say anything nice about any doctor / clinic / hospital experience except that one (most of his other healthcare reviews are...

Re: My Tentative Itinerary

Sounds good - if you start jonesing for some beach time your first full day on island, hike the Lind Point trail to Saloman or Honeymoon. It starts right behind the National Park building in Cruz Bay.

Re: Villa for 2 couples, close to Cruz Bay?

Google Star Villas - their rentals are near Frank bay and are close to Cruz Bay. As far as parking - what is your definition of reasonable? I have zero qualms about paying Slimman's 10$ for all-day considering how tough it is to find parking. I also recommend Lavender Hill. Terrific place to stay pl...

Re: Cinnamon Cay

We tend to snorkel around Cinnamon Cay at least once a trip. I have never had any problems with current, and I'm not exactly a triathlete.

I didn't comment because I haven't stayed there. I most certainly would if I could afford it! It looks like there are some reviews on VRBO if you haven't found those yet.

Thanks all - I've ruled out Gallows until he's older (off to college and my husband and I can go w/o him! )

Opinions about kids at Gallows Point

My family is headed back to the rock in July. I have always wanted to stay at Gallows Point, but I have always gotten the impression that kids aren't a good match for the place (I know they don't allow children 5 and under). My son will be 9 and he's a very social kid. He will play with anyone regar...

Re: Another WOW time on St. John Trip Report

Very enjoyable, Susan! Thanks for posting a link. BTW I had to drive last time we were on island because my husband's license had expired. It's much easier than you would expect plus you have the same advantage I did - you already know the roads so there's no pressure to navigate so next trip give i...

I think I've posted this before but this is a *great* way to get around the islands with a little one! He had a much better view other than everyone's behinds
