Re: Post-Irma news
Thank you to all the posts showing houses and villas.
I may have missed them, but I have tried hard to see photos of SEAclusion, Stoneridge, and the front of massive villa that used to be the Collinson's house at the mouth of Great Cruz Bay (east side).
Anybody find them?

Re: Waterlemon villa?
The road from Bordeaux Mtn sounds terrible.
Would it be better to go up from Coral Bay?

Oxygen Concentrator
I use a CPAP machine to help my breathing while asleep. It is connected to an oxygen concentrator machine that adds oxygen to the breathed air. The CPAP machine is easily portable, but the oxygen machine is quote large, maybe 30-40 lbs, not at all like the little portables. The past two years I have...

Re: STJ on Caribbean Life TONIGHT (Sunday, April 3)
I always get a kick out of the inconsistencies shown when on STJ. Speaking of a nearby restaurant in Calabash Boom and showing the bar on Mongoose Junction was the one I most liked this episode. I spoke to a local today who said that the "sale" of Creolla was faked for the show. I too woul...

Maho Bay today
Today at about 3PM a 20-28 ft black hulled powerboat with a half dozen or so 30 year olds pulled into the center of the bay, hooked up to the closest park buoy, and proceeded to blast their boat stereo so loud that not only beach people, but boat people yelled at them. Bottom line they stayed and dr...

After looking for and never seeing one for years in STJ, tonight I saw one!
Anyone else see it?

Re: RESTAURANT
The overlook at Chateau Bordeaux Is arguably one of the best views in the Caribbean, certainly the best view of the Sir Francis Drake Passage from St. John. There has not been nearly enough outrage to the restaurant's action. The restaurant seems to never be open, certainly not at night when the vie...

Our villa's cistern is overflowing. New paradigm-OK to flush for number 1!
No lice.

Ting, Punch
We did our first day shopping trip yesterday on STJ. No Ting! No distributor services USVI? No "Puerto Rican Punch" (that's really what it is called) by Famoso, I think. Indespensible for a Fish Trap style Planter's Punch. Tried the usual Cruz Bay places-Pine Peace, Starfish, St. John Mark...

Re: Flats fishing
Yes, I've done that and it is very good. There is an oyster bar that is 45 degrees to the road toward Francis. It is good for about 50 yards before it gets too deep.
But just seeing finning bonefish there is exhilarating.
I'd like to fish there again, but this time from a boat.

Flats fishing
I'd like to do some shallow water fishing, definitely not deep sea fishing. I want to be able to cast and retrieve, preferably spin casting. I don't really care what we catch and I don't care about keeping anything. Awawak seems okay, but quite a production and preferring fly fishing. I'd like somet...

Re: Recommendations for one night in STT
As I have stated many times here, my wife and I stay at least one day at the beginning and end of our STJ stay at Emerald Beach-it is no longer a BW. Good beach, nice bar, adequate food, and terrific convenience. And way cheaper than an extra day at most villas!
