Re: Thoughts about new Cinnamon Bay / Trunk Bay Concession?
I love Cinnamon Bay and have stayed in cottages twice now. I agree they need to be updated, but sorry that the price will be rumored to be going to $300. At that price, I'd rather rent a villa. I just hope that they can't limit access to the beach like they do at Caneel.

Re: Kiddle Beach
It's a shame that it has come to this due to the negligence of others. I was hoping to visit this summer as it is one of the snorkel spots that we haven't been to yet. I'd be willing to pay an entrance fee if it were only possible.

Re: One Particular Harbor vs Sunnyledge
I prefer Astral Ridge over OPH. I liked the layout better along the openness of the patio and how it seemed to connect well with the landscaping. The pool was much warmer at Astral Ridge. My wife only dared to get in a couple of times due to the temp at OPH but it was perfect at AR. The view is high...

Re: One Particular Harbor vs Sunnyledge
I stayed at OPH a couple of years ago. Loved the villa and the view is awesome. The sliding doors open up the view into the main living area and it was nice to have AC in the bedroom. Pool was chilly though if that's important. This was in July also, so it would probably be even chillier in June. I'...

Re: Olympus TG-4 Camera
I second the recommendation of extra batteries. We usually do a morning and afternoon snorkel and change the battery out at our villa. Be sure to soak it in tap water for 30 minutes to prolong the life of the rubber seals and also check to make sure there is no sand or other debris in it before clos...

Re: New Olympus TG-4 Camera
I have both the TG-3 and TG-4 and I'm very happy with them. The only thing that bothers me is the panorama mode. It almost never stitches them properly. I don't shoot in raw, so I can't help you much there. It's very easy to use and has very quick focusing. Battery life has been pretty good. We usua...

Re: Hurricane forecast/Sahara Dust
Thanks Kevin for the information. That is very useful. I thought that maybe the hurricanes might help clear out some of the Saraha dust or alter the path away from the Virgin Islands.

Hurricane forecast/Sahara Dust
I've seen a couple of news articles predicting a quiet hurricane season. Here's one that attributes it to El Nino and lower Atlantic Ocean temps: http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=2957 Does anybody think that this will increase the probability of more Sahara dust thi...

Re: Where have you stayed?
One Particular Harbor What we liked: Outstanding views, well maintained, great space to sit and enjoy meals, washer and dryer onsite, pocket glass doors slide into wall gives awesome view and more open feeling in living area. What could be improved: Pool was freezing - even for July, beach cooler a...

I'm with you on that also. Thanks for the link. I really thought it was a pretty fair distance away. Guess my wife was much closer to it than I thought.
