st john in May for sisters 50th birthday

We are considering renting a villa in May for my sisters 50th birthday. Looking for a place on the east end for 8-10 people that is not too expensive. Any ideas?

Thanks Jaysadee for the offer but I decided on the nikon and if my husband prefers the canon he can exchange it for that. I'll let you know how it goes.

Island Hopper, I think I will probably get the Nikon D40 but do you know the difference (besides price) of the D40X. Is it worth the extra $$$?

That's what I'm afraid of Vicki, my husband is a canon lover. Which canon would equate to the Nikon D40. Also, does the canon have a date stamp?.

I am thinking of getting my husband and SLR for Christmas and wanted to get some recommendations. Consumer Reports recommends the Nikon D40. I would like to keep the price under $600.OO. Do you guys have suggestions?

I agree Marybeth, La Tapa is awesome. We went there 3 times and if we didn't have so much packing to do the last night and didn't have so many leftovers in the fridge, we would have gone there then as well. The food and service were excellent. Alex, the chef was incredibly passionate about her food ...
