RickG- The site you linked is awesome! Tons of great info there.

I'm glad you noted that "If you have special needs or fetishes by all means accommodate them." I'll remember that when I'm packing up my whips and chains!

When we left on July 12, it was still broken. There were very large fans placed strategically throughout the airport...but of course it's not the same as A/C. Luckily, the husband and I grabbed two seats right in front of one of those huge fans while we were waiting for our flight, so we were comfor...

The vacation, wedding, and weather was all fabulous! (And Ron recognized us when we first stopped in St John Spice!) I have plenty of pics and stories to share...just trying to find the time to organize it all. Trip report will come...eventually... ;)

When we came back through customs last week, the agent made us show proof of our birthplace...a government issued ID or driver license wasn't sufficient. Luckily, we had our marriage license with us, but next time we'll definitely bring birth certificate. We stayed only in the USVI, so I was surpris...

Post 9/11?...? Nope. Sorry, but even as American citizens, we had a hard time getting out of St. Thomas on our flight back to the US! You could try, but why not just enjoy what there is to appreciate on the US side of the islands and save the BVI for the next time? Rules are too tight right now to e...

I got back from my honeymoon at Estate Lindholm just a couple days ago. When Lauren was giving us a tour, she stopped at the pool and specifically said something like "this property is couples only, so if you'd like to swim without bathing suits you'll have plenty of privacy." If you've st...

If you'll be traveling without the kids, I'd have to throw in a recommendation for Estate Lindholm. It's a little B&B/Hotel up North Shore road as you drive out of town. We made the easy 5 minute (downhill) walk to Cruz Bay every day, but took a taxi back up due to the hill...and the rum. ;) It'...

LandLocked, I'm with you on the Back-to-the-Real-World-Blues. We got back some 48 hours ago and I'm still yearning for the hot sun of STJ.

I've been pacifying myself by researching tickets for our next trip...it's the only way I can cope! ;)

Take care...

Food is always a good idea since airlines won't feed their passengers anymore! As long as it's not liquid, you're okay. Crackers, yes. Yogurt, no. Jell-o...well you're on your own. One interesting fact...sometimes food looks like an explosive when it goes through the x-ray--especially chocolate. Go ...
