Re: Irma

Another one of our favorite islands, St Barth. There will be serious storm surge there I'm certain. I wonder how the buildings will fair being so close to the harbour.

I understand anyone on island more than likely too busy to be surfing this site but know we are thinking of you and your safety. One love all.

Re: One bedroom - off season

The former owners of Plumeria recently finished their home down at the end of Gifft Hill Lane, and built a really nice one bedroom rental unit below their residence: "Sea Swan Suite". It is very nice and clean, plus you get those signature Gifft Hill sunsets. Alyce and Paul have a summer ...

Re: Car rental companies demanding letter from insurance com

My 2 cents for what it's worth, we just rented for the first time from Courtesy in April. I had our insurance card with us and when we got there couldn't find it. I knew I had it, just think with the excitement and being up since 2am... you get the picture. I asked them if we could come back by and ...

Re: St John vs Hawaii snorkeling

Appreciate all the responses everyone.
We are looking forward to their facial expression's when they realize how beautiful the island really is.
Each beach is different and the hiking is such a plus.

St John vs Hawaii snorkeling

Bringing some virgins to St John and a bit concerned that they are expecting something like they saw in Hawaii. I have nothing to compare it to since we've never been to Hawaii. Can those who have been to both offer up some thoughts on how we can explain the "why" it is different? I don't ...

Thanks for the heads up on this new service fee. Your 2 gems are on our list of places to stay in St John if we can nab the booking fast enough. :D

Jost Car Rental

Good morning everyone! We would like to ferry over to Jost and rent a car for the day. Can someone give me an idea of cost's for the day? I think I have two numbers saved somewhere in my email but if you have them handy I sure would appreciate it. Looks like Sunday is the day to go, given we get som...

Re: $$$$$ ferry to Jost?

I am following this thread, we are weighing in our options to get to Jost. We have done the charter which was fantastic but this time, just want to get there and explore for the day, nothing else. So to me if in fact the ferry is $80 and no other charges, then it sounds reasonable. Correct me if I'm...

Re: Need park & fly Chicago O'hare

We have stayed 3 times at Candlewood Suites, Schiller Park, park, sleep and fly with no issues. I do see that your are from Wisconsin so you may be looking to stay north of the airport. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Re: Jost recommendations

54b, you hit it right on with your post. As a first timer to St John, we have so much more to explore on SJ but the BVI's really grabbed us. Next time, hopefully sooner than later, we plan on staying in the BVI's for a few days before our stay in St John. Don't want to hijack this thread but what we...

Re: Jost recommendations

Just got back 3 weeks ago and had a great time booking with St John Boat Rental. We had so much fun.

Not sure how many in your party but we booked their boat Innovation and the price was $750 including the gas! Here's the link,
