If Caneel is closed, reckon they will still charge us to park there if we want to hike to Salomon?

Re: Your best day on St John

Having Trunk Bay all to ourselves late one afternoon in 2003 was awesome! Renting a dinghy one gorgeous, calm, windless day in 2004 and exploring Waterlemon for the first time was amazing! (Renting a dinghy on a rough, cloudy, windy day in 2005... not so much!) But you know, of all the great days we...

L&L's New Location?

Does anyone know where L&L Jeep Rental's "new" location is? According to their website, they "have a NEW location just a short walk from the ferry dock! Now, we are more convenient than ever!!! and . . . in-town pay parking is available at our new location in Cruz Bay!" We re...

Simply St. John Villa?

We're considering Simply St. John villa in Coral Bay for an October trip, but haven't seen much on this forum about this villa. Has anyone stayed there recently? Any other suggestions for a clean, comfortable, inexpensive villa with a great view and hot tub in Coral Bay? Thanks!

Welcome CTBeachGirl! I was hoping someone who had stayed at Creolla more recently would respond to your question with a little more up-to-date information, but I'll give you some 7-year-old feedback ... We stayed there in January 2005 for an anniversary trip and really liked the villa. At the time i...

SRT, it's been a few years since we stayed there, but I don't remember noise being an issue at all, and we do notice such things. We spent a lot of time out on the big deck, which sits above the road, and it seemed quiet to me. As X said, there just isn't that much traffic on that road anyway... We ...

Have you tried Spirit Air? I just checked some rates out of Detroit for early April, and it looked like you could get them for around $500 RT (depending on the dates)... Not great, but it beats 700 bucks. Spirit gets mixed reviews. We've flown them once, and had some minor issues with assigned seats...

VITEMA Earthquake Alerts

I signed up for the VITEMA automatic alerts recently, and I'm really surprised at how active it's been! Flood watches, high surf advisories, even a "cold front" where the temperature plummeted to 76 degrees! 76!!! And earthquake alerts almost every day! Most of the earthquake reports have ...
