Trip Report 4/4-4/13 Number 2(hehe) -Snorkeling
Ok, the snorkeling. I'm as white as a ghost, so that plus the advantage of being one of the only people snorkeling means we did 95% of our time in the water from 7-10am. Salt Pond First time to Salt Pond and I drove right past it. It wasn't until I hit the dirt road that I turned around. Hike down w...

mrsb - The rum tasting, hmm, let's see. Before I walked into SP I just didn't know there were such thinks as sipping rums. So, I guess what I'm saying is I'm no connoisseur. I had the Cruzan single barrel, the Pyrat (from Anguilla), and the Barbancourt 15 year (Haiti). I'd have to say I liked the Bar...

Trip Report 4/4/07-4/13/07 Intro and Eating
So, like some others here, my wife and I enjoy St. John in two main categories, eating/drinking and snorkeling. Sure there are others (beaches, napping, naughtiness, other), but I am going to focus mainly on those two. Before I do that, I'll lay out where we stayed and our basic daily itinerary. We sta...

Most of the rocks are not gigantic. If I recall correctly, there are at most two people sized boulders that you have to make your way up and down. But it's not like you are rock climbing. There are places to put your feet and walk up and over. There are definitely some rough spots, but doable (and w...

Ok, my wife and I just got back from St. John on Friday and we went to Beehive Cove. It was absolutely stunning, underwater. The amount of different species and number of schools was greater there than anywhere else I snorkeled (north beaches, saltpond, east end). On to your question. My wife and I ...

Just got back yesterday. Even though RH was the only option from STJ, the boat was still maybe 75% full. No problems. We left on the 10am ferry. I didn't notice a new ferry dock when we arrived at RH, but that was the first time I had ever been there (RH). Nothing looked too new to me. Not sure whet...

Thanks LysaC, Pia, and Mia. We'll probably end up checking out mosquito bites as well as deli grotto and baked in the sun. Our itinerary usually includes getting up early, having a bagel - picking up lunch to go - and then head out for the day to snorkel. Once we get tired, it's off to the bars for ...

Coral Bay sandwich stop - like Baked in the Sun
So, last time my wife and I were on St. John, we stayed near Cruz Bay and stopped by B.I.T.S. in the morning almost every day for sandwiches for our daily adventures. Is there anything similar in Coral Bay? The key would be that they would have to be open relatively early, 8am or such.
