Lulu, I've been obsessing about this all week as well... check out wunderground.com -- put in 00831 and then click on "scientific forecaster discussion" at the bottom. It actually says it's going to be fairly dry for the next seven days. Then do what I do -- stop checking the weather once ...

Lulu -- I totally know how you feel! I personally like to micromanage the preparation aspects of my vacations and always feel unsettled when I drop my package off at the post office!!! Things that are out of my control drive me nuts. The one time when my package took over three weeks to get there, I...

hey lulu! I sent my package priority mail on Oct 10th. it arrived on the 17th -- passing through New Jersey first. i thought it would take longer, with the hurricane and all. One time, it took three weeks for my package to get there! Don't worry -- i don't i've heard of it taking longer than that.

We've stayed at three different garden rooms over the years (reef, maho, and cinnamon). The views are great from all three of those -- plants/trees in front of the balconies really only partially obstruct view if you are sitting. It's kind of cool to look out at the ocean over the flowers, etc., and...

Congrats on your upcoming engagement! Which week are you planning on going? Some companies consider the week up until 12/20 to be off-season, so that may be a factor in price. I'll second nothintolose's recommendations on Estate Lindholm, of course. It's our favorite. However, if you are looking for...

Fish trap

Anyone eat at the fish trap lately? I'm intrigued by the new additions to the menu, and the fact that Aaron Willis is (purportedly) back. We ate there a few years ago, and it was just okay, but I'm willing to give it another shot.

hey bug! We used to stay at Mahogany Tree all the time before it was sold. The old owners were fabulous, and lived on the property. We loved it, but it mostly had to do with the neighborhood, the vibe, and the "honesty bar" (which I heard no longer exists). It wasn't luxurious then either,...
