Thanks for your feedback. I'm okay with basic, as long as it's clean and the bed is somewhere I wouldn't be afraid to sleep... We plan on spending most of our time on the beach or at foxy's anyway. :)

Perfect Pineapple on JostVanDyke

Anyone have some recent feedback on the Perfect Pineapple? Or any suggestions for a place on Jost with no more than a two night minimum? Thank you!

landshark lager on STJ??

Anyone know whether you can get landshark lager on the island? it is absolutely my favorite beach beer (I swear it is not just because I am a buffett fan....).

It's within security -- and really not that far. Not close, but not that far. Concourse F is another story. If you land in F, the commuter terminal, you'd need to take a shuttle or go out beyond security and check back in.

Here's a link to a map --

Trinidad Charlie's (original, not pumpkin) is a favorite. Also love Valley Doll, but it definitely is more of a curry than pepper sauce, imho. Friends of ours recommend Miss Anna's and Roadkill, both available at STJ spice.

We were there in November. It was "good" -- but I don't eat fish, so I had a steak, which was just ok. However, their fresh cut fries are AMAZING. Best on the island!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Lime Inn for dinner. Basic steaks, baked potatoes, rice, etc. for the nonadventurous (and other fabulous seafood choices for those who are!)

The Fish trap also has "basic" food -- but the Lime Inn is my favorite.

ran into kenny at woody's at our last trip. he was sitting right next to me at one point, but it just seemed inpolite to interrupt him and say hi.

let me just say that I'm a pretty big fan of his music...and it was killing me!

We actually use one carton of orange-pineapple juice (dole?), I can of coco lopez (melted in the microwave so it dissolves), and pussers rum to taste with fresh nutmeg on top. Shaken, not stirred. Our friends swear it tastes just like the soggydollar recipe!

we rented an ocean runner last november (and drove ourselves). we paid $15 in fees each - at customs in greatharbour-- for "whatever." Seems to be consistent with Captain John's post.

I LOVED "American Wife" by Curtis Sittenfeld. I bought it in the st thomas airport, and it made the dreaded trip home little less awful...
