American Bald Eagles

This is really and truly off-topic, but my kids have been captivated by these nesting Bald Eagles for the past couple of weeks. I watched the third eaglet hatch with the kids yesterday morning and now I am hooked! Being the nature lovers that I know many of you are, I figured you might appreciate th...

Same here! 8) 8) 8)

We're going with a family of newbies so I've started a countdown where every week, starting at 6 weeks out, I send them a "countdown" email containing a piece of interesting info about STJ.

And I've been compulsively checking the forum :)

Uncivilized maybe, but if it means you're on island earlier then it's worth it. We were originally ticketed on 6:30 AM flight from BOS thru PHL which would have had us arriving STT around 1:30. US Airways cancelled the PHL flight and put us on the CLT-STT which doesn't arrive until 3:20 :(

Re: 1st time to STJ and lots of questions

We are arriving to STT on a friday at about 5 pm the end of April. Is this a busy time of year in the USVI? --Yes it is a reasonably busy time. Will we still be able to catch a ferry over to STJ, or is this to late? --No it is not too late for the Red Hook ferry which runs hourly until midnight What...

We took our daughter for her first visit at 18 mo, along with her 3 yo brother. Two items I found invaluable - the Kelty backpack carrier and the Safe-T-Seal power swimmer: http://www.swimways.com/power-swimr-c-53.aspx It really works - she was actually able to swim unassisted with it: http://i228.p...

Congratulations Maryanne! And thank you Ruth for the information. I was able to pre-order the Nook version through B&N. Also a MA resident living in the vicinity of those reservoirs, I find the local history very interesting -- can't wait to read this book!

I've been dealing with Windspree in prepartion for our upcoming trip; we're staying at DeBolina this coming April (yay!) Karen and Kay have been fabulous - everything has been very easy! I've also used Caribbean Villas in the past; never had a problem, but if I had to contrast the two, I''d have to ...

TOO COOL! It's like the Mister Tasty ice cream truck, but it has loungers and booze! Does he play a catchy jingle so you know he's coming? This is terrific: Only on St. John! Minde I was thinking exactly the same thing - like Mr. Frosty for grown-ups :) "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" strik...
