My big question is, for an 8 day trip this month, would you suggest staying in one location then driving to explore OR stay in a few differen...

Re: Stinging Plankton???
Just back. Got stung maybe 20 times altogether over the whole trip. Zero redness swelling or mark of any kind. Pain lasted a minute, maybe less. Worst was Francis. To tell you how bad it was (wasn't!) we chose to go back to Francis a couple of times during our stay. I'd go back today!!

Re: Trip report 12-30-2014 - 1-7-2015
Nice TR, thanks! Taking a taxi to go 1/2 a block is indeed funny! I like how you said your trips are never the same. That's our experience too. Some trips I don't snorkel while others you can barely get the mask off my face!
We have never tried the Terrace. Good place??

Re: Seaweed in the VI
Hiked to Solomon and Honeymoon today, December 10th. Seaweed in the water was heavy in certain clumps but you could swim past it. Seaweed on the sand was two feet wide and stretched the length of the beach. Also at Haulover North the water was FULL of it and lots on the beach. By the Beach Bar someo...

I have a St John problem.....
Last April I went to St John like this: Hey, wouldn't it be great to go to St John? Google search for ticket, find a cheap fare, click purchase, fly out the next evening. This time when Temporary St John Insanity struck I at least came away with two weeks to pack and organize. :) Can anyone tell me ...

Ok, I know this won't work for everyone but it worked for me!!! A cure for my St. John addiction!! This summer we went for 16 days, it was splendid and we loved every minute. But guess what? On the 15th day I was ok with going home! That's never happened before. Ever! Been home for months now and I ...
