We rented from PHPV last November and will again next May. When I read the reservation policy, I read it the way you did, which confused me because that was not how it was last year. I then reread the deposit info and found that it says "we DO accept personal cheques". They are different t...

OK, anybody care to share what they have had to eat that was great? I won't be back until next year, so I need to know specifically what I should be drooling over while I wait. :)

Would you mind my asking how much the fuel cost and tip was? Their website says $525 for the day plus fuel, so I'm just trying to figure out what the total cost would be - charter, fuel and tip?

One Particular Habour or Island Horizons

Hi All We're starting to look at a trip for next year and are trying to decide between OPH and IH. There have been lots of reports on OPH, but not so much on IH, which we think is fairly new. They both appear to be accessed by going up the road near Island Blues, but does anyone know if they are nea...

I'm also interested in this villa, so I thought I'd give this post a bump. Has anyone stayed there? How strong are the breezes at night and is the pool usable?

Thanks.

Great report! The villa looks really nice and I have a few questions if you wouldn't mind. Their website says there is a 270 degree view, including St Thomas. Can you see the twinkling lights of STT at night? Are there comfortable chairs outside to spend an evening relaxing in? Lastly, do bannaquits...

We got THICK cuts of Rib Eyes, Filet and NY Strips at Starfish. Their selection can vary each day of course, but more often than not I find their steaks too big! All four of us thought the ribeyes were fantastic when we were there earlier this month. Marina market in STT had a good selection of stea...

Hi As said, you can get whatever you need on St John. However we shopped at Plaza Extra in Tutu on St Thomas for a few things. I can't quote prices, but we did find it cheaper there, with a larger selection. The only price I can quote is the flavoured Cruzan Rum was $6.xx there and was $9.xx at Star...

We just got back. This was our third time renting from Dependable and they have not yet picked us up in our rental jeep. I don't really understand since this last time they picked up four of us in a small car that surprising did manage to stow all our bags and our rental was waiting at their office.

I agree with Xislandgirl. The island isn't that big and the scenery makes any drive go by fast! :)
