For our first trip, we chose Gallows and being close to town. It was a great way to get to know our way around, and being able to walk home from the restaurants and bars was great. We rented a jeep, which is an absolute must so you can explore the island and it's amazing beaches. The roads are a lit...

As everyone else has said, the best! She may be a little more money, but it is certainly worth every penny of it!
Can someone please post what the cost is to hire her? I'm assuming this would be a private taxi ride?
Thanks!!

Thanks guys, It certainly looks like I will have no problems just throwing my small snorkel bag over my shoulder along with my roller carry-on bag.

Only 195 days to go...

So I should be all set to have my snorkel bag over my shoulder along with my carry-on? My snorkel bag is small & thin...just fins, mask & snorkel. I would assume that would be my "personal item"?

Carry-On only???

Hi all, For the first time ever, we are going to attempt our vacation with nothing but carry-on luggage so we can avoid the whole baggage claim routine, jump in a taxi, and be on our way. I have a couple questions... What is the real deal these days as far as what they will let you carry on with you...

American Airlines

Definitely watch AA. We just booked a week or so back, and found $370 RT from Boston to STT (For June travel). One tip I have is to find your accomodations, and make sure the availability is there plus or minus a few days on either end of your desired week. Then, try leaving mid-week versus the week...

Lots of nurse sharks around, and they are completely harmless. We saw them at Maho, Francis, and Waterlemon. They want nothing to do with people that's for sure. My best sighting was also at Francis, when a Lemon shark decidied to swim on by us. It was about 6 feet in length, and although a little s...

Believe me, I'd love to stay at the Ritz (never have), but it would need to be around $200. I will definitely check their website and a couple others and see if I can find a deal....Thank you very much!!

Thanks all for the replies.

Gromit, I thought about the Ritz, but just don't feel the price tag is worth it. It was $600+ on Expedia. That's out of my league for sure.

Bill, I think we are leaning towards Freenchman's Reef. I will talk to you about it when you get back. have a safe trip my friend.

We are staying in villa for the week (first villa), but are looking to stay one night in St Thomas so we aren't rushing around the next morning for our flight back home. Right now we are considering ...
