Re: Sunrise
If you're out on the Coral Bay side of the island, drive past Concordia. There is a little bench on the side of the road. It has great views during the day, and I assume based on its location that it would have pretty great sunrise views. -Jenn

It is much, much better. There is very little, if any, on the North Shore beaches. Haulover North has a ton, but other than that, I have not seen much.

Re: Three Day Parking in Cruz Bay?
Slimman will likely let you park there for the three days. Just ask him what the cost would be. Also ask what time the car needs to be in at night and when they open in the morning, as they put a chain up at night.

Re: Sunshine's Jeep Rental
Sunshine is owned by Angie Smith who also owns VIVA! Villas. All of her Jeeps are brand new and well taken care of. The company opened last year when the government increased the number of rental vehicles allowed on island.

Re: Help us choose a week
I think it really depends. Last year, it fell at the end of President's Week so I think people came a week early. This year it's after President's Week so it can really go either way. Personally if I were a runner (and that probably will never happen - lol), I'd like to do the race and then relax th...

Another thing to consider is 8 Tuff Miles. Next year's date is February 28. The island will be a tad busier that week than normal because of the race.

I can't speak to Astral Ridge, but I know Coconuts and Windchime well. Coconuts is a great property. It has a good amount of outdoor space and unbelievable sunset views. Kevin, the owner, really thought of just about everything a traveler would need or want. The outdoor kitchen is a great area to co...

Re: Scuba diving
Another option would be to complete your coursework and pool work at home, and then you can complete your open water in St. John. You can complete your coursework online and then schedule your pool class prior to your trip. I believe you need about eight hours of pool time. Then when you come to St....
