I spent three long hot, (and I mean hot), June nights at the Seacrest Inn. Had air conditioning and still had to open the freezer door on the refrigerator just to get any cool air at all. And couldn't find a soul to get any help, even though the Manager is supposed to be on-site. The afternoon sun j...

I agree with ClevelandDave. But Foxy usually is out and about around lunch time and is always good for tall tales and jokes.

Foxy's also has their Barbecue Buffet if you happen to be there on Friday Night. Each time I've been it has been packed out with people.

I have seen boxes on the ferry often. I would imagine you could ship to Ivan. Ask him.

Or pack a bottle in a zip lock bag and put it inside a shoe in your luggage. If you run out, buy a bottle there. It's only a week, right?

Because I am in the know....

"You and Tequila" was written by my friend Metraca Berg. She is the wife of Jeff Hanna, lead singer for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

The travel forum www.virgin-islands-on-line.com indicated that “shots fired midafternoon in tourist area.” The description overstates the location because it’s several blocks out of the Cruz Bay restaurant and shopping area. However, the Inn at Tamarind Court hotel is adjacent to the laundry. No Ms...

I'm guessing the outage might be related to the "roaming" power outages that WAPA has been doing. Seems electricity generation is very difficult these days for them. I wonder how much, if any, the solar farm at the Airport is going to help. And they are currently fighting the Windmill folk...

Ruth

Here's a rumor: Ruth is really the General Contractor for all the work on the Park. I heard she had threatened to turn the SpiceCam on the workers if they didn't get busy and meet their deadline.

Does anyone know if it really is officially open? It's open and free but as lazy as I am on vacation, I'm not walking from there to the National Park Dock or anywhere else. Slimman's doesn't open early enough for Daytrippers leaving at 8:30. But another Pay-To-Park spot is on the left just past the...

Thank you all. Lots of devastation and loss of life. Yesterday was certainly a roller coaster kind of day as the area had tornadic weather about every two hours from mid-morning until late last night. You knew it was coming but there wasn't much you could do. Every part of this country has the poten...

Don't plan on parking in Cruz Bay. There won't be any.

Keep your hands (and feet) inside the rides!

Buy local!

I would like to be one of these: The Town Drunk Head Golf Professional at the Cruz Bay Country Club. Air Traffic Controller at the St. John Airport. Head of Quality Control at The Beach Bar. In reality, with my management skills and a lot of money, I could do all of these better than what is current...
