Shipwreck is one of our favorite places in the world! Love the gazpacho....and everyting else! Is Taco the little fella who liked to "silence" the roosters? Now I have to go find that thread to learn his fate.

Poor Taco.

These aren't very good, but they are a few of my favorites. My two sons goofing in the water and the tree at Caneel. I've yet to find anyone who can identify it for me. I think this pic was taken in April when it was in full flower. Does anyone know what kind it is? I think it's just beautiful. http...

Wonderful news all around!! I don't post much but I remember the thread when you told us what you both would be facing and my heart was in my throat. I'm so very, very happy for you both! Isn't this forum bizarre in a wonderful way? I don't participate often, but read regularly. I've never met any o...

Thanks so much for this very enjoyable report CG. I've never read trip reports from or researched the Cayman Islands, but have always been curious. Looking forward to reading about the Botanical Gardens.

Ready4, April is a wonderful time on StJ in my opinion. The weather is perfect....with beautiful breezes. The high season businesses are still operating so most restaurant and boating excursion operations are still full time but with out peak crowds. If you live north of upper Mason Dixon then you s...

Wow! I thought it would be double down there! $37 at BJ's. It's easily worth the few extra dollars not to have to worry about smashage on the way down. Mind you....smashage on the island may be unavoidable.

We are staying at Gallows. I'd be surprised if they can beat BJ's Wholesale price. If I takes my chances I can probably bring two for what it would cost for one down there. Do you remember what it was at Pine Peace?

Years ago it seemed to me that for many places high season ended on 4/15 regardless of when Easter fell. Now it seems that summer rates don't take effect until after Easter or 4/30...which ever falls later. New England public schools have the third week of April off. That could have something to do ...

Oh, is that what I think it is? Image??

My favorite!! Did I read a trip report by someone who said that a place on STJ had a great price on it? I've been known to wrap up a bottle in bubble wrap and bathing suits an takes my chances.

Thanks so much Bug. That would be great if you have the time. I've spent the better part of the last two days reading reviews on underwater cameras. We don't dive but snorkle quite a bit and I am debating the "waterproof" vs. "specifically for underwater" options. It's really the...

Thanks for the heads up on that review. BJ's Wholesale sells this camera at $289, which is slightly less than I've seen elsewhere. I've been trying to find some underwater photos from the this camera to compare with others that I'm reading about.

Canon Zoom Super Wide Angle EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Autofocus Lens

I haven't had it long, but I really like it so far.
Thanks Vicki! Your photos are outstanding. I'm just learning the camera myself. The wide-angle seems like a great investment.
