Re: Villa Location Map
It's been some time but we really liked Second Wind on Reef Bay. These days we like the Bourdeaux, Mamey peak and Coral Bay area. Second Wind has no steps from parking, 3 separate but mostly equal bedrooms, pool, hot tub and A/C. They are listed on caribbeanvilla.com After we stayed there I looked a...

Re: Charlotte Amalie ferry
If your flight lands on time you should be able to make it with no problem. Even better chances if you are carry-on only.

Re: TGIF Photo of St. John
My wife and I made that trek from Cinnamon. It was a great trip out through Maho and Francis. Lots of turtle sightings. She lost her left sandal somewhere between Cinnamon and Whistling Cay. So being the gentleman I am, I offered her my left sandal when we disembarked at the cay. I hobbled around wi...

Re: Beach bar owned by KC?
Kenny who? +1 'cept I would make it, Kenny who cares? I am on St John. I do wish that he would drum up rumors of visits to other places so that the "fans" that stalk him would not bother with StJ and thin the herd so to speak. It is becoming to popular a place and this KC fellow seems to ...

Re: Fifty and falling apart! Hiking info needed.
Cinnamon Bay Beach is a great beach for walking and there is a trail to Little Cinnamon that is not terribly treacherous. There is also a self guided trail near the entrance to Cinnamon that is shaded and easy.

Re: Snorkeling Cozumel
We visited Cozumel on a cruise stop about '99. We snorkeled at the National Park. It was crowded by StJ standards. The sea life and coral did not impress me. There was a swim with the dolphins pen there and some were paying to do so. Not my cup of tea. We left and drove around the island. Beautiful....

Re: Couple quick questions about getting off the ferry
Cool Breeze is (or was in 2009) up the hill, across the roundabout from the Dolphin Market. The streets were a bit messed up when we rented from them then as the roundabout was being constructed.

I guess that is in the old St John Spice Kids location. What does the StJ Beach Bum shop sell? Clothing or other?

Re: Lameshur
Great Lameshur is a rocky beach. The rocks are dark and REALLY soak up the heat from the sun. If visiting on a sunny day I would suggest that you do Great Lameshur early then Little Lameshur later if you plan to spend time on the beach. Definitely do NOT try GL beach without shoes. Both beaches are ...
