Re: OT Trip Report & Photos > Central Europe Part 3 final

Thanks for bringing us along. Prague is on my wish list, but I don't have any immediate plans to go. Looks beautiful, and I'm sure my husband would love the beers. We've been seeing more Segway tours in various places lately. The tour I saw in Amsterdam this summer really scared me. Too much going ...

For down-home cooking that's very affordable, try Coral Bay Caribbean Oasis.

Re: Lightweight backpack suggestions and help

We get a lot of use out of the LL Bean Stowaway Pack. This one was updated recently, so it's a bit more expensive than the one we bought a few years back.

I think I actually bought ours based on a recommendation here.

Re: Charlotte Amalie ferry

I think you'll make it, but no one will be able to predict all of the traveling variables on the day. The only way you'll know is to see what time you get out of the airport, and ask the taxi dispatcher. If you're ready to head to the ferry by about 5:15pm, then you'll make it.

Re: Culebra info seeker aka Bill in Va

Very quiet; great beaches. But, we like to hike on STJ, and I don't think there's as much hiking. I have, however, had great snorkels from the beach. Lots of turtles and similar mix of tropical fish to STJ. Not as many restaurants; much less expensive than STJ, in my estimation.

Re: Fifty and falling apart! Hiking info needed.

Walking out to Waterlemon comes to mind. If she has the strength, but needs to take it slowly, she could do Ram Head too. I know I celebrated my 50th with a bum knee on STJ, and I did my normal hiking, just a little slower and more carefully. Our #1 hiking source is the Trail Bandit map. http://www...

Re: STJ (Over or Under) Reactions - June 2014

I think if you asked your forum friends nicely, we'd probably pitch in to send you to STJ more often, just so we could read your reports. They are the best! Thanks for your colorful and delightful insights.

Re: Trip Report Coral Bay Early June

Geez... this could nearly be our trip report. Used to stay at Sailview (still miss Mike & Eileen), and as of our last trip we now stay at Romance Cottage. Favorite place to grab dinner is Coral Bay Caribbean Oasis, and bring it back to the deck, plated with some Josephine's greens. Reading your...

Re: Looking for Great Map of the VI's - For Framing

For my 50th birthday, my friends ordered this map http://www.trailbandit.org/maps-online/9 , which you can order "rolled" so that there are no fold marks. Although this is a "historical" map, the website also features quite usable maps. During my surprise party, my friend had ev...
