Re: Ticker check
Suzie, thanks! I am unable to copy/paste into my question exactly how it appears (it thinks it's a ticker) so I had to modify it to copy it, and everything you said you have I also had, with the exception of also ending in [URL]. Does your's end in [URL]? I tried to delete that (and endless other co...

Just Booked!!!!!
After almost 3 very long years, we are finally booked to return for two weeks at Gallows Point Dec. 2 - 16!!!!! We have been blessed with caring for our very senior dog and haven't been back since Dec. 2015. Sadly she left us on Tuesday after 17+ years. This much needed trip will really help us with...

Gidget, yes, fingers crossed! Especially since it seems that the temporary customs that recently re-opened in Cruz Bay is solely for charters and pleasure craft...

Re: Back to the Rock in November....and I have Questions :)
We have not been back post irmaria, sadly it's been 2 1/2 years, since we are home-bound caring for our 17 year old dog. Anyway, the ferry to VG is not yet running again, but you can keep an eye on the ferry schedule below to see when it resumes (maybe in the next 1-2 months). Otherwise, you would n...

Re: Post-Irma Rebuilds Complete at Coconuts and Plumeria Vil
Thanks Agent99...... someday we will have a drink together at Gallows in the shoulder/off season! We are happy to make Lexie's senior years the very best they can be, especially now that she is completely dependent on us...... We are just missing STJ so much - after going at least annually since 200...

Re: Post-Irma Rebuilds Complete at Coconuts and Plumeria Vil
Agent99, thanks again for the update. Yes, high season for 4 people sure gets expensive at the new rates. At least for us (just my wife and I) during shoulder season it isn't as bad, but certainly getting worse. Who knows, at some point this might also push us to consider a villa. We just love Gallo...

Re: Post-Irma Rebuilds Complete at Coconuts and Plumeria Vil
Agent99, wow, I wasn't aware of the Gallows Point rates increasing (in 2019) until you just brought it to my attention. Gallows is the only place my wife and I stay when on STJ. (we've been there I think 7 times). We usually go in fall or spring and enjoy the shoulder season rates (upper ocean units...

I'm not able to answer your question, but coincidentally I literally just yesterday stumbled across this article online, but only pertaining to the Florida Panhandle. Just FYI. Hoping all is clear for your trip to STJ. https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2018-06-27/sea-lice-reported-a...

Re: On island with 3-year-old in July - ideas?
Leslie's website and contact info is below: http://kidsnightin.com/ Sadly, The Beach Bar will not be open yet when you are there in July. High Tide is the only restaurant/bar open on the beach (right next to the ferry). Banana Deck also seems like a great place for families. Also, Skinny Legs has (o...

Re: Beach Bar
Eliton, it seems like it will be a while before the Beach Bar, Joe's Rum Hut, etc. will be back up and running. See Jenn's recent post below..... http://newsofstjohn.com/2018/05/08/wharfside-village-slowly-reopening/ You can keep an eye on external progress below.... http://beachbarstjohn.com/bar-cam/
