Vista Caribe (we've stayed there twice) & Villa Kalorama are across the street from each other in Virgin Grand Estates.

Re: 4 BR villa
Areca has great views on the North shore. Wanda, we are staying at Areca in May/June for 9 nights. I think it will be great as we have never stayed in the Peter Bay area. After two years in VGE we decided not to stay there again. As much as we like going into town (FOR US) the drive in and out of V...

Re: Late Summer ?
Sherry, as a fellow South Carolinian you know that hurricane season runs until November 1. We have only been effected once by a storm, in Sept., out of 22 trips to STJ. If you are worried about storms stick to May early June otherwise go with the budget friendly villa.

Re: Accessing Virgin Grand Estates from South Shore Road?
Teresa, we rented Vista Caribe the last two years and even though the villa was great it was pain in the butt to drive to town - FOR US. It is probably no big deal for most people but just a big inconvenience for our group. We are now going back to Chocolate Hole, Casa Mare, in the future. This year...

It is up Rock Ridge Road. We have rented La Papaya several times and it is just past that home on the same road. Easy drive to down.

I've stayed at Ocean Palm and wouldn't recommend it. Have you looked at Villa Panache? https://cateredto.com/#!/villa-panache Great views and location. I would also check out Tennis Villa & Cottage: http://www.caribbeanvilla.com/property/ ... ailability

Re: Lost snorkel gear
I hope it works out for you. Last year we left Maho and we got to our villa I noticed we had extra gear. Luckily it was rental gear from Low Key so I dropped it off at their office. I'm sure someone was worried.

Re: How Long Before Flight Should I Get There?
Others will weigh in with their opinions and helpful information, but our experience has been that it depends on what day you are flying out. We now always fly during the week, and don't usually run into large crowds. Still, we try to arrive at STT airport at least 2 hours ahead of departure, since...

Re: Flights & where to stay our first night on STJ
You need to decide what's a comfortable price for you and book when you are okay with that. I have had flights where I saved money booking close to departure and other times when I saved money booking way in advance. We've flown SAV-STT 20+ times now so I have a good idea what the price is going to ...

Re: Flights & where to stay our first night on STJ
Spirit Airlines is $474 & Delta is < $600. Personally I would book flights now. This way you get the times you want and the seats you want. I always ask myself would I be more upset if the price went up 20% and I didn't book or more upset if the price went down 20% I had already booked?

I second this! If the current is ripping through there, which it can, then you may have a very difficult kayak trip. rent a zodiac for 1/2 day.Pia wrote:Parafins - watch for the tide at Henley Cay please

Re: Fourth Trip, What's New?
Low Key goes there every Thursday. They leave about 7:30 am and return around 2:30 or 3 pm. They need a minimum of 6 divers to go and I think they have a maximum of 12. We missed out in '11 when we couldn't make the minimum and again in '15 when they were fully booked. They stop off at Tortola to c...

Re: Haulover North
We f there are no waves breaking on the beach, then right where the trail hits the beach works. If it's rough then head back to Haulover South. You'll see lots of hermit crabs as you walk the trail. Cheers, RickG I love the north side but if it's too rough I would venture down to Hansen Bay, it isn...

I'd stop at Fruit Bowl in the Wheatley Center for your fruits and vegetables. There are also many vendors on the sides of the road that have good produce. Then stop at Cost U Less for Beer, Rum etc. you have to sign up for a card but you don't have to pay for it. PriceMart a little further up will ...
