I just love Dome526's idea. You are courageous and must know inside that you need the healing this trip can help to bring. God bless - may the sugarbirds be with you..

I also miss the direct flight Logan to STT. Just booked our flights on AA for March 2013. Got a good price of 412.40 PP RT. Just hope they don't change it like they did last year. We ended up setting up camp in the dark at CBC.

We stay in a tent at CBC every March. I had no idea you could snorkel all the way to Trunk Bay. Would you hazard a guess as to how much time you spent in the water? Would you consider swimming back to CBC from Trunk or is it likely you'd be against the current? Glad you got your phone back..

I just this minute booked on American Airlines from Boston to St. Thomas thru Miami for March 2013. Round trip for the two of us was $824. Now if they don't go screwing around with the schedule we can arrive in Cinnamon Bay Campground before dark this time!!

We always bring a cooler and we check it for the flight. We bought a 24 can Polar Bear last year based on this forum's recommendation but I can't honestly say it did any better than our previous soft sided cooler. Part of the issue is we stay over in Boston the night before our flight, leave the coo...

We usually fly AA on our March trips to STJ. I choose to stop in MIA because it's less likely to have weather delays that time of year. But they have changed our schedule on us; last year we didn't arrive on STJ until 3:30 - 4 pm. When I booked it, the arrival time was 1:30 pm, much more convenient ...

Inner Visions

We've been VERY fortunate to see them two years in a row at the T'ree Lizards Restaurant in the Cinnamon Bay Campground. Us campers are a very appreciative and lively audience and I hope they keep coming during our March vacations each year to CBC.

Weirdest packed thing

We bring a wind chime, an inexpensive one from Christmas Tree Shop or Job Lot. It adds to the ambience on the campsite. And then we leave it behind for the next guest to enjoy or destroy. We also bring St. Pat's Day garlands, hats, socks to wear to the parade.

Mosquito bracelets

Glad to hear people have found these effective. We had a terrible problem with mosquitoes this year in our tent at Cinnamon Bay. Our site was closer to the water than usual. We didn't think to check for bugs when we arrived our first evening. Woke up puffy-faced 1st morning and totally unrecognizabl...

I loved this post! I am a listmaker and a crosser-offer but this year I had to spend a week just before we left for SJ with my family due to a medical issue. Threw me off kilter. So I still don't know, after returning, what I did with the soap dish, q-tips and a few little tiny odds and ends but you...

What a wonderful post

I love the answers this is drawing. This year I remember saying repeatedly "I love this vacation". Because it truly is a vacation. We do some traveling - headed out to the National Parks next month- but St. John at Cinnamon Bay Campground is a real vacation. Sitting on our inflatable thron...

Polar Bear

On the advice of this forum, I bought a 24-can Polar Bear. Either I did something wrong or the cooler we had been using was pretty good already because the PB didn't perform that much better than my other, cheaper (from the Christmas Tree Shop)cooler had been doing. Nonetheless, we froze for a party...

Dinner reservations

My only experience has been with Fish Trap, Lime Inn and then this year Rhumb Lines. We dine early, were the first ones in at 5:30 at Rhumb Lines, always have made a reservation a day or so ahead. REALLY loved Rhumb Lines.
