What they mean is that building E is on the rocky entrance side of the beach which is a reef and makes for a difficult swim on that side. Sapphire beach runs along the bay and around a corner. The sandy bay side entrance is just around the corner from pool/rocky entrance side. You just have to walk ...

Hi there! Sapphire is a great place to stay. I'm a bit bias as my family owns a unit though;). Building E is the last building on the rocky beach/pool side. You will have great views of St.John and the marina boats going in and out. You are doing it right by renting on VRBO. This will ensure that yo...

Sunset Grille is the new restaurant at Secret Harbor. Yes they had a rough time in the beginning because they were open while they were still under construction. Now they have a couple months under their belts post construction and I have heard nothing but excellent reviews. My parents ate there las...

CTbeachgirl-you've got me scared. I am not a good flier, never have been. I fly w/ my rosary beads. I am going to have to have many stiff drinks before getting on that flight! Also, where is the JB terminal in relation to the Cape Air terminal at SJU? PA Girl- Yes it's a code share flight. So I'll a...

Cape Air questions

Thanks to Jet Blue canceling our early morning flight, we now will have to fly Cape Air as our connector in San Juan. I've never flown w/ Cape Air before. So I have a few questions. I check my bag, do I pick up my bag in baggage and go through security again, or is it all automatic as if we were jus...

Just got a notification that Jet Blue isn't running it's 8am flight from BDL to SJU for when I leave in August. I don't know if they are just doing this for low season or not. But has throw a big wrench in our plans as the other flights they have get in super late or have 2 connectors. Just thought ...

Latitude 18 is for all ages. To get there, take rt 322 (road to ritz, secret harbor etc) off of 32 in Red Hook, once on 322, take first left on to Vessup Dr. You will then take another left onto (there is a small "Latitude 18" sign so you know where you are going) a long, bumpy, dirt road....

Hi there, Yes there is parking available to beach goers. There is a security booth at then entrance, you just tell them you are visiting the beach and they will tell you where to park. There are chairs available to rent for the day as well as a snorkel booth for snorkel/water toys to rent. I would s...

Big Blue Charters

(Posted this in STT forum, but thought it may get more responses over here.)Anyone have any experience with this charter company. Thinking of booking them for our Aug. trip. The reviews on TA seem really good and the price is right. Boat looks pretty cool too!

Thanks for all the comments! Very excited about trying them. JB makes flying out of BDL affordable again for us! We've flown out of BOS for the past 6 years and hate making the hour and half drive that it takes to get there. So excited on all fronts!
