My last 'hike' to Ram Head was in Keen flip-flops. They are my basic goto footwear for entire trip.

WOW Terry...we stayed there too! so it's nice to see you recommend it to others here to check it out. We stayed there a couple years ago and LOVED it. The 'speakeasy' behind the secret bookcase door was a late afternoon treat...are they still doing a little wine tasting each afternoon? Our first tri...

Congrats and I say go for it. I don't have personal experience w/ the health professionals on island but have read positive reports on this forum from those who have. As a female, who has had a couple kids as well as lost a few pregnancies, I would DEFINITELY travel at that time in a pregnancy if th...

I too am a fan of the REAL 'Surly Cantina'. What I haven't heard from anyone is whether they legally protected the name. I sure hope so, but if not, do they have any legal ( not moral) recourse? Pete?

We have used Spirit many times over the years and never had any problems. Personally I think you can have bad experiences w/ any of the airlines and some have had issues w/ Spirit but I'm not one of them. Sounds like a good price! Relax and may the travel gods be good to you!

stltimmy...absolutely she will take 2! We did that in Nov. I called her about 2 or 3 weeks prior to our trip and she was there w/ her gorgeous smile waiting for us. We were so delighted w/ her conversation along the way that we went ahead and scheduled her to pick us up in Red Hook for the return to...

Thanks for the insight Sherban! We are in this house 13 years and the kitchen is just NOW coming to the top of the list... you know, cars, kids, 2 colleges at same time, vacations, etc... I have been to the kitchen design center as well as the 'stone' store. Mine will be more of a gutting and as a f...

If you are still looking for more opinions, here is my .02. We used to go in JAn or Feb, even into March, for our first several visits but we went the last 2 years late Nov into Dec for 10 days. Last year we stayed in Great Cruz Bay area and this year Coral Bay area. I found the last 2 years a littl...

Other times we have seen hundreds of starfish on the northwestern side of the cay. LAst month we didn't see a single one. The second one ...

We just stayed at another villa off of the same road, very close to dos palmas. Can't speak to the villa, just the road. As loria said Costanza Rd is paved and in wonderful shape. The turn off access Rd to the right is rutted and rough in spots, but 2 cars can get by w/ some maneuvering. We never ne...

The Westin ferry took us and only us to Red Hook for an early flight. I think they definitely work around your schedule for early flights. It was the only time we were ever taken to Red Hook instead of CA, but a driver was waiting for us, and on to the airport we went. Incidentally we just had an 11...
