There was quite a bit washed up on the south and east end beaches. We weren't able to snorkle at Haulover North because it was so thick and out about 50 yards.

No chicken parm? That was one of our favorite meals on the island. What a bummer...

How were the weeds getting in? When we were there 2 weeks ago, the seaweed and debris flosting on the top was so thick and out about 50 yards, that we passed on our favorite snorkle.

High Tide is right on the beach in Wharfside. We have always enjoyed the food there. The chicken parm is excellent and is a huge portion - enough for 2. They have installed a big screen tv so it is nice place to catch a game and enjoy the sunset.

We were there in mid-December last year. The water temp was a bit cooler and the Christmas winds were in. Most of the north shore beaches had extremely large swells all week - red flags at Trunk. It was nice to see the island decorated for the holidays.

Double Trouble

We just returned from an awesome 7th trip. Weather and water were fabulous. Unfortunately, we spotted 2 lionfish - one at Haulover South and one at Salt Pond. They are beautiful fish but are so scary to see swimming nearby. We did not have markers but reported both sightings. I think there should be...

Just give yourself plenty of time to get back from Trunk. The cab drivers are usually not in a hurry to take a few passengers and will make you sit and wait until they have enough people.

We love Casa Bueno and staying mid island. The pool only has the late morning sun but there really is no need to use the a/c because the breezes are great up there!

How about a hike up Peace Hill for the sunset? He could take a blanket and bottle of champagne. I think proposing inside the old windmill ruins up there would be pretty romantic.

We bought a PacSafe for our backpack last year and really like it. It is definitely a great deterrent from any grab-and-go type of theft. We use it on the beach and in the jeep if we are out and about. It certainly gives me peace of mind when I am out snorkeling. With that being said, we have never ...

Split a charter in September?

My boyfriend and I will be on STJ the last week of September. Anybody interested in splitting a charter 9/23 - 9/29? We would like to do some snorkeling, drinks, etc. PM me if you are interested or if you already have one booked and are looking for a few extra travelers.
