Mexico in general is not (to me) all that great for snorkeling anywhere that I have seen. I took a snorkeling excursion from Playa mujeres over to IM for a day snorkel/shop stop and wasn't too impressed with the coral - alot is broken/dead and not large or too uniquely shaped. Saw some cool fish but...

I think my gang of sailors is gonna be there on the eighth! Ya'll probably know some of them - but I can't wait to be the 'newbie' no more....

Oh, Brenda...You should have gone to Mexico with me....But I will give you that I don't consider it the 'caribbean' either... Been to lots of 'caribbean' places...and Yes, Mexico is different...But, I just wanna say - there is NO bad beach destination in my book!

LOVE your report! Mexico is my beloved vaca spot - usually go about twice a year. (Cheap and 4 hour trip) Have spent a day on IM but never stayed there. Your report & pics have me drooling all over my keyboard...I will be making my first trip that way shortly and doing some of these same things (well, no running - but I will jump) and I am sure already it will not be the last! Seems like a safe addiction to me! Can NOT wait to get there!!!
