Re: Lurker or contributor?
I don't think the mosquito borne virus would stop me from visiting the VI's. I know I'd be much more diligent about using repellant though.

Re: bugs this time of year?
Last week we had a little bit of an issue; we were there from Dec 28-Jan 7, located on Devers Bay. One of our party of 6 got eaten alive all 10 days, the rest of us just had a few bites here and there. Deep Woods Off and itch cream came in handy. I guess it just depends on your proclivity to the lit...

Does anyone have a pic of the menu for us? (Website and FB page don't have menus) We're traveling with someone who is a vegetarian and we would like to see what might be available for her. We really want to try it!!

Where to go on a day charter
Hello everyone! We have booked a charter with Captain John Brandi (Palm Tree Charters) for our upcoming trip with our four kids. Our kids range in age from 18 to 23. No one likes to snorkel but we all want to see fun stuff and swim off of the boat in deep water (with noodles/life jackets). We are no...

I should actually be WIFUN2BME.... (because even after living in MN for 18 years now I grew up in Wisconsin and still claim it as my "homeland.") ---- the people from Wisconsin all understand that, right?? Yep. I get it. :) Moved to Wisconsin when I was 17, for college, and never left.

Where is that "show your face" thread? This would be a good time to resurrect it. And, the "what does your forum name mean?" thread.

Re: United Flight Change from EWR
How is it that you were not notified? I get notifications for every little change (a minute or two on arrival/departure; flight number change) and every big change (flight cancellation, time changes that make a connection impossible, etc) and those require an acceptance of the change to whatever the...

Re: Need a new credit card with travel benefits
We are able to put all of our State Farm insurance on our credit card: Homeowners, cars, umbrella policy & personal items policy. This year, we even put our upcoming STJ villa rental on our credit card.

Re: Please help: Afraid I might have to use trip ins
Maryanne, For ours, I always cover everything: villa, flights, transfers, etc. I over insure because once you've opened that insurance door, you might as well go all out or not go at all. Please keep us posted on all fronts here. (When are you going in January, anyway? Will we cross over at all?)

Re: Please help: Afraid I might have to use trip ins
Maryanne, First of all, I hope things improve and you will not have to cancel your trip. I'm so sorry to hear this. Hopefully this information will help. I bought trip insurance for our summer trip to Topsail Island a few years ago and had to use it because Hurricane Irene rolled through just a few ...

Re: Lovango kayak trip question
Wait, I want to know more about this Arawak kayak thing...maybe we've already asked about it but I'd like a refresher...
Cost, where do you leave from, is it guided, etc...
Could be a really fun day with our four kids this upcoming trip.

Yippeeeeeee! We're rich! That's the best news I've heard all day!Pete (Mr. Marcia) wrote:"The people that visit at Christmas are very wealthy."
Well, on the plus side, Marsh, it turns out that we are rich. That's some positive news, right?
