Re: Barefoot Cowboy Lounge
Donna it is totally fine to take the girls here. It is just a restaurant, not even a real bar (they make drinks tho) with a pool table, foos ball table and stools along the railing looking over town. The food is great and Thursday nights is all you can eat for $20 and live music. Don't miss it! Wayn...

Re: Grande Bay - Morning Sun?
The company I work for manages 18 units at Grande Bay. You will only get morning sun in the front units but at the back of the building. The back patio's are small not really big enough to lay out although our penthouse does have a chaise on the patio.

Re: What is your dream job on St John...
Villa Management and Hair Stylist..Oh wait I do that :) I work 40 hours a week at my job. Unfortunately, I don't have Saturdays and Sundays off to be with my 8 year old. I come home and do a couple of haircuts/colors and then I get to relax for five minutes before I go to bed. It is a lot of work bu...

Re: Please keep an open mind and heart and opine
I used to sell real estate North of Boston also and at that time I also wanted to get a gun/pepper spray permit (which I believe fall under the same permit in Mass). It is scary going into empty houses alone, at night and women in the Real Estate Business need to protect themselves. One of our colle...

Re: Can no-see-ums live inside?
Just wanted to chime in and say that since living here I realized that no see ums do come in through the screens at night, especially when the lights are on inside the house, if we shut the lights off and watch tv we are fine. There is a company that sells no see um screen with a tight enough mesh t...

Here is the link to a building blog for the new home in Klein Bay you are talking about. It is the second house on the left (downhill build) going into Klein Bay not sure where Orchid Villa is in comparison to that though.

Skype is the only thing I can get to work here on STJ. Facetime doesn't work at all, I even upgraded my internet and it still doesn't work.

Re: Feeding island birds at our villa...
I honestly haven't seen any! We walk along the gut almost everyday, at all times of day and I have yet to see even a mongoose. Just deer, dogs and lots of crabs.

Re: Feeding island birds at our villa...
The family that lives next to me has lived here for over 40 years and they were the ones that told us how to attract the hermit crabs and it works. We don't have donkeys or goats in Fish Bay and I definitely wouldn't want to attract those to my house and yard so I guess depending on where your stayi...

Re: Feeding island birds at our villa...
We put our compost stuff in a pile outside in our yard and it attracts the hermit crabs. Some of them are pretty big and are sporting some amazing shells.

Re: Arriving soon - need status of store
So sorry they're closed. The company I work for is renovating and going to open up in that location. I never made it in to St. John Editions, but I've heard they had some great women's clothing.
