The Inter-Island ferry to JVD leaves at 8:30 and returns at 3:00 on Fri, Sat & Sun and 4:30 on Mon & Tues. 6 or 7 hours is certainly enough to check out Soggy Dollar, Ivans & Foxy's. I would suggest that you grab a cab to White Bay as soon as you clear customs. Ask him to pick you up at ...

So true, Connie. Good advice. I worked with a provider other than CSA. We had to cancel our June visit and I had purchased the Cancel For Any Reason option. While this allowed us to steer clear of the medical documentation, you must remember that YOU have to produce "proof of loss". This m...

Wow...seven weeks in the VIs!! Good on you.

Since a whole lot of Tortola shuts down in Sept-Oct, you may want to soften your expectations. Lots of restaurants will be closed BUT the beaches are open so if you focus on limin, you'll be fine.

You're in luck with outstanding snorkeling right there at Spring & Trunk Bays. In fact, you'll have to resist Spring Bay Gravity and be sure to hit Savannah and Mahoe. Also, The Baths are an easy stroll from Casita so you can hit them before the safari buses show up. Our favorite romantic dinner...

Some serious health issues and their economic impact will have us focused inward for some time to come.

Hope to be past the immediate threat by summer's end.

You might enjoy being in a beachfront villa in Little Apple Bay on Tortola.

Chateau Relexeau Caribe rents very cheap (by STJ stds) and is very nice. Killer views of JVD and walking distance to Sebastians & Sugar Mill for good eats.

Just Booked - 10 Days on Tortola w/Kids

They've been hearing about the BVIs since they were knee-highs and now they get their first taste. 10 days based in Little Apple Bay, Tortola. They've never been to the Caribbean...never been sailing...never been snorkeling......never had a roti...never seen the bottom in 12 ft of water. One of the ...

This is a USVI forum and it has turned into a St John Usvi Forum. You could actually start some threads about STT from time to time. ...tourism is way down and if it continues at it's current rate there will not be a paradise island to get away to. So all of you haters of St Thomas better be aware ...

Obviously, windmill farms on the hillsides of STJ are something that I believe EVERYONE would like to avoid. The real question is how do you bring reasonably priced electricity. Can any one explain why solar isn't being more heavily pursued. Lord know it sunny enough. It would seem to be the less &q...

What makes these uglier than the cruise ships, mega-yatches or big fiberglass boats that spoil my views of surrounding islands? Or, indeed Sirenusa, Grande Bay, Wharfside, Pond Bay, the 200- ft. Bordeaux communications tower, ad nauseum? If you could, you'd stop any increase of all of those things ...
