Anyone ever do any whale watching while in St. John? I'll be there in February and am thinking instead of our normal JVD or Baths trip, we might do a whale watching trip since I heard the humpbacks migrate through around that time of year.

Anyone know of a group that does it?

Anyone familiar with St. John Dive Adventures in Coral Bay? I'm looking to do my open water certification while I'm down there (and do the closed water and classwork up here prior). Coral Bay would be nice since we'll be on that side otherwise I'll probably try Low Key Watersports. I'll be on my own...

Aw nuts! My friends just bailed. Now that puts a damper on our budget. Now I'm looking for a 1BR for $2500 ish with a pool or hot tub.

I wish Fun and Contentment were available the week I'm going. It is cheaper and I like how the setup a bit more.

We're heading down February 2-9, my husband and my second time and another couples FIRST! We're looking for a 2 BR with a pool on the Coral Bay side or up on the mountain with a view. We have a budget of $3000 for the week. Leaning toward Rhumb Runners since that seems perfect but just wondering if ...

Just added mine today. All plans are in flux but checking flights and checking houses. Looking at Rhumb Runners as the most likely spot.

There was a sign at the terminal last week that said the CA ferry was running on it's full schedule. We were able to take the 11:15 on Saturday.

Thanks to the people in the boat who were yelling at me that there was a shark coming towards me so I was ready to shoot a picture when he came in my direction...or maybe they were warning me to get out of the water? I got another couple of shots in that I'll post when I do my trip report.

Would you all agree that this shark I saw at waterlemon last week was a lemon shark?

Whoops maybe not. I passed a couple walking their pups on Sea Grape Hill not Waterlemon.

That was me! Lol. Small island isn't it? I'm gonna do a longer walk tomorrow, I just needed to make sure I could make it back up before I ventured further.
