We always bring a big water bottle or bucket that you can fill at the beach and bring back to the car to wash the sand off before getting into the car. Also a quick change of clothing so they can put something clean and dry on in case you want to go to eat, shopping etc, or just to get the wet bathi...

I live in NC and my favorite beach areas here are Bald Head Island and Kiawah. Both very unique and family friendly. Bald Head is reached by ferry and the only transportation on the island is by golf carts. They come with most rental properties, but can be rented seperately too. Kiawah is also an is...

What a sweet little girl. Shannon and her family will be in my prayers. We should all take a moment every day to reflect on how fortunate we are in so many ways and say a prayer and contribute in any way we can for those less so.

Will they have a car? If so I highly recommend Montpelier Plantation for dinner. My husband and I keep at top 10 dinner experiences list and this is still on it, although this was several years ago so hopefully it's still as good. The setting is beautiful. Snorkeling is not very good on Nevis, so if...

Maybe this is cheating a little, but why not get some wines you like and cover the label with a homemade label "yourlastnamefest" 2009. I may get slammed here, but I've never found a good inexpensive German wine. Have fun, it sounds like a blast. lol re:Korean family.

Hi Cid, I'm from Stowe but live in NC now. Just saw your post. I had the best summer, spent 3 weeks in Stowe, then 3 weeks in St. John. Overwhelmingly beautiful in different ways, yet in many ways the same. Beach Bar is a little like Matterhown south to me. Hope you get a little more summer left in ...

Getting to Jost

We are finally going to go to Jost Van Dyke this trip - yea!! My husband thinks we could rent a small boat and get there ourselves but I'm not sure that's possible. I've only read about taking the ferry or a charter. Any advice?

They are great!! We have used them for many rentals and only rent from them as their customer service, kindness, knowledge are the best! I also think their villas are well represented in the photos and superbly maintained. Their staff is super friendly and helpful. Response to any maintenance issue ...
