Re: Casa Del Sole
I was wondering the same thing. We drove by it every day when we were on St John 2 weeks ago and it's on our short list for when we return on 2018. If you stay there, please tell me what your thoughts are. Are you planning to go off-season? There's a short list of Villas that I've seen that offer as...

Re: Dinner first night in STJ
We were just in St John and we love dining out at the best restaurants everywhere. We ate at Zosos....beautiful ambiance, food just seemed overpowered with pepper. We ate at LaTapa, very good but small portions. Last night we ate at the Terrace. BEST dinner I had by far not only in St John but every...

Re: Car Barge Update
Yes,
Got there at 8:15, ferry pulled in a few minutes after and we boarded immediately.
As we were leaving, another barged pulled in so the problem seems to be resolved

Re: Coming back for our 3rd year - any dreaded sea lice?
Been here 4/30 to 5/13.... No sea issues, been living in the water! No bugs up our way either, south side way up on fish bay. No seeums haven't been an issue, we've been at the north shore beaches and water lemon cay. Perfect two weeks! Fewest bites of any sorts. REnt high is my motto, way up in the...

What to do with left over villa food?
So I have frozen $15 ribeye, a 5 pack of Guinness, some frozen chicken breast and two frozen sirloin hamburgers. I hate to throw this stuff away. Any ideas? Anyone here on the island and want some food?

Re: Planning a day trip to tortola
fmzip: Rent a car near the ferry, take Zion Hill Road over to Long Bay, and enjoy a leisurely drive along the north shore to Cane Garden Bay and back. That drive resembles the north shore of St. John, with a succession of gorgeous bays and beaches, but with higher and steeper hills between them. Be...

Re: Can't seem to leave a villa review
That's odd, I left one several years back on here, maybe a different format back then.
anyway, reregistered by the villa isn't listed yet so I sent a notification to that effect. Will post as soon as it's up

Re: Planning a day trip to tortola
fmzip: You won't need 4WD unless the roads are wet and slick. I was simply referring to shifting into low gear (easy with any automatic transmission), which will increase the rpm's and let you ease off the brakes, as engine braking will be slowing you down. On that same Tortola north shore drive ma...

Thanks !Exit Zero wrote:"Curious as to where would be a good, place to get a nice upscale lunch in St Thomas?" FMZIP
Away from the cruise ship crowds in town I suggest:
Twisted Cork in Frenchtown which has excellent interesting food, and some very nice wines by the glass for lunch.
