Re: STT recomnendations for one night

I have also neede to stay the night on st Thomas I chose the windward passage, the rooms were actually quite nice. I did use my AARP on the reservation for a discount. The room was actually very quiet despite being on the main road. In the morning we were able to walk with our bags to the downtown f...

Re: ST THOMAS DEPARTURE INFO

So just a follow up on this topic..... I checked in on line the day prior to departure, but still had bags to check. I arrived at the airport right at 90 minutes before flight. Had a brief chat with an unhelpful AA attendant. Apparently since I had checked in already I did not need to arrive 3 hours...

ST THOMAS DEPARTURE INFO

I have heard multiple conflicting info about departing St Thomas airport I am on American. Some say you must arrive 3 hours prior to flight time. Others say you must check in at least 3 hours prior, but only need to arrive 90 minutes early if you have already checked in and just need to check luggag...

Re: Recommendations for one night in STT

In a pinch, last year I stayed at the Windward Passage. It was fine.
In the morning we were able to walk with our luggage to the downtown morning ferry to STJ.

Re: Lost luggage

No worries. All arrived on time. But I did plan accordingly and packed my must haves in the carry on and "luxury items" in my suitcase.

I saw the turtle with the injury today. It looked like it happened a long time ago and is well healed.

Re: Arrival rituals

I thought we were the only ones who were this obsessive about the "ritual". I have to review it several times in my head in the days prior to departure. When I arrive at airport I change into shorts and sandals that I have in my carry on, I can usually do this before the luggage even comes...

Re: CA or RH Ferry?

If I think that I have a chance of getting on the ca to cb ferry I will try. Even if you think you are within a few minutes I call the ferry and tell them I will be ther in less than 5 minutes usually they will wait. I have learned not to ask the taxi drivers as the want you fair to red hook.
