Buckle up and go to an ATT store. If anything goes wrong, they will replace it no questions asked. Also, avoid the new one...the reception issues are horrible...design flaw.
You'll love it and ATT is the wireless carrier for the islands....same as US! You can even keep your state side #.

Hair Out Of Your Face
I use the band you are talking about, go to www.scubadorag.com. She is out of NC and can ship to you. In a pinch, I use a handkerchief, like the old hippie ones, and tie around as a headband. Wet it first and it should stay under your mask.

Dominica
Lovely, quiet, green island. It is very low key, most things to do are outside things: beautiful beaches, pristine water, small population. Enjoy, its a lovely island with lovely people.

Definitely check you carrier. Those people with a nationwide ATT plan, with texting program included, usually come out OK. Am not a heavy text-er; only use my i Phone for business.
Also, in Asia a lot of people bought cheap pay as you go phones...

Rash Guard
I prefer long sleeve; better protection from sun and scratches if the tide or another person pushes you toward coral. They are warmer but as a diver, I prefer that.

Re: Bermuda - educate me please
The horrible airfare situation is putting a dark cloud on our July STJ trip. Just being curious, I checked out vacay option through Amex and we could go to Bermuda, fly direct from Philly, 5 nights at the Fairmont Princess for $940 per person, $2,818 total. Other offerings include 9 Beaches for $1,...
