Private Taxi for 2

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a reasonably priced private taxi from the airport to red hook for 2 people? We have used Wheatley and Dynamic Tours for years, but they both want a minimum of $75 each way. Not bad on the way back since we will be splitting it 4 ways, but a little steep for...

I just booked on United and there were no charges -- unless you wanted to upgrade to "Economy Plus".

We loved Waterfront Bistro last year -- very elegant, great food, but not as "stuffy" (IMO) as Zozo's.

Ok -- Just got an email from Josh at Lion in Da Sun: "As for the soon-to-be expired passport, it would not be a problem for you. The British and US customs agents will notice it and give the captain a stern look and say to have you get it renewed right away and that they are not required to acc...

Pink Horses - Coral Bay

Staying at a villa called "Pink Horses" in Coral Bay in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone has stayed there recently. Is it as nice as the pictures look?

http://www.bookitvi.com/pinkhorses.htm

Also -- how is the road (or lack thereof) up to the villa?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Gromit -- looks like we will need a passport (or other WHTI compliant document) if we want to get back into the U.S. after June 1st. Eric "On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI. The proposed rules require most U.S. cit...

Pia - I am confused - I thought under the Western Hemisphere initiative (effective June 1) you DO need a passport to return to the U.S.?? http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html You do NOT need a Passport for your trip to the USVI's but if you don't have one do bring a photo ID and Birt...

Hmmm...was planning a day boat trip to the BVI's and I am a little concerned now. The problem is I am worried if I renew now (even expedited), I may not get my passport back before I leave on the 27th. I know "they" say expedited gets your passport back in 2-3 weeks, but "they" d...

Passport Question (not whether we need one!)

My wife and I are headed back to STJ on 6/27 and I noticed that my passport is expiring about 2 weeks AFTER we get back. Has anyone had any problems with customs/immigration with "soon to be expiring" passports? I knew of a friend who had some issues traveling through Europe who had this i...

Bugs

My wife and I are headed back to STJ in less than 4 weeks (26 days...but whose counting??) and I was wondering how bad the bugs were right now (average, below average, above average)?? I noticed that the island got alot of rain in May and was concerned it was going to be a little more "buggier&...

I second the Nature's Miracle suggestion...that stuff is amazingly good at getting rid of cat urine smell.

But do I pack my lawyer in check in or carry on? :D
I can free up my schedule...I would need a very modest retainer payable upfront in VI Pale Ale.

I am a big fan of Aqua Bistro if you looking for a nice dinner.

However, our tradition has been to go to Skinny's the first night and enjoy a great burger, a few beers, and some live music.
