RickG, Do you have any more information about that private charter? I MIGHT consider it. I have yet to find a way to get to Anegada and back the same day from either STT or STJ. Last time we were there, we stopped at the kiosk in Cruz Bay for some information. The only flight from STT left at 5:00 i...

That's really inconvenient, not just for those of us arriving and heading straight to St. John, but what about the cruise ship folks that might want to spend a day on St. John? Going all the way over to Red Hook will stink for them--it cuts a lot of time out of what must already be an abbreviated d...

I have been researching this too as I have wanted to day trip to Tortola. The concensus seems to be that you need a car to get around as it is a bigger island. Think it could be done by taxi if you had some kind of itinerary set. Cane Garden Bay looks fun, but on cruise ship days gets ridiculously c...

Once again, it just depends on how you want to spend your day. If you want to snorkel and The Bath's something that you really want to see and explore, then VG. If you just want to laze on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean and have lunch and libations, then White Bay on JVD. Haven't...

I think it just depends on how you want to spend your day.http://www.vinow.com/general_usvi/interisland_ferry/#Red%20Hook%20to%20Virgin%20Gorda If you want a leisurely pace with maybe another stop, lunch etc then some kind of a day charter may suit your needs. If you just want to get to The Bath's a...

I'm new to this particular forum, but must say that I found myself looking forward to your next installments. Wonderful report! I tried a few painkillers myself while in the VI's. Tell Amy that hands down, The Soggy Dollar Bar on JVD wins. She will have to try one the next trip and decide for hersel...

We did the trip last March and really liked it alot as first timers. Great overview of the islands. If the swells are big, recommend using one of those noodle thingies on the swim in to the Baths. On THIS particular day that we went the swells were big and it was tiring. Most of us girls used a nodd...
