Very fun story! Hubby and I always have had rescues, surrenders, strays etc. We just lost our surrendered Rottie in December and our stray Kitty last month. We are thinking about going to a breeder for a Boxer but hopefully we'll get a call that someone has a Boxer puppy that they need to find a goo...

Scott (traveler22), try to stay as focused as possible on everything good in your daily life. There is nothing too small to be happy about- the sun, a good breakfast, a strong hug. Don't be anxious about what the future holds because it is yet undertermined. You are here, in the now. Lean on the one...

"Discovery of Witches" was fun. It was Twilight for adults. And lovers of history, the occult and romance will like it :). The first quarter of the book did not flow perfectly but then the author really got into the groove. It was set up for a Part 2, probably a Part 3 too.

Finished "Townie,A Memoir" by Andre Dubus III. A different kind of read for me. Lots of violence (mostly street fights)but really a serious look into Dubus' childhood and his relationship with his father. This one will keep me thinking for awhile. AH I did some theatre with Andre back in ...

For those of you with anxiety, depression and/or self-doubt, I highly recc Lucinda Basset's "From Panic to Power". As some of you may remember, I had something stroke-like back in August that caused some brain damage. As a result I started suffering from axiety. Lucinda's book really helpe...

Am reading "A Discovery of Witches" as I am a sucker for witches and vampires. (But not so much tween witches and vampires :)). It's fun so far with witches and daemons and vampires oh my... but the authors writing style is a bit disjointed. I find myself having to re-read a sentence or pa...

Watching Glen Beck right now and he is makng a big push for aid.

Japan might be a rich country but no amount of money can support multiple huge disasters (earthquake, aftershocks, tsunami, nuclear explosions).

They need help!
