I remember a couple of posters getting hit with excessive sand fees on their credit cards on this forum over the years. There has been a vacuum cleaner in our villla the past couple of trips so I just did a quick vacuum right before we returned the car.Vacuuming took less time then I would spend has...

Skinny Legs has been sold

I just saw that Moe has sold Skinny Legs to long time employee Doug Beene. Doug's a good guy, a cancer survivor that a few years ago was looking like he might've been on borrowed time. Good luck to Doug, and to Moe & Toni, too! Moe and Toni and their "skinny legs" are walking away! <a ...

We've stayed in Casa Nita several times, though it is in Calabash Boom rather then the East End. Actually, it's exactly across the bay from East End. Anyway, the place is a little aged, but we love it for the location and the view. Easy road in, 3 bedrooms with a/c in the bedrooms. A bargain after A...

Drink enough gin, or rum, and you won't have to worry about them in the morning. seriously, from around 3:30- 4:00 pm until sundown they can be brutal at Maho and Francis particularly. I'm a firm believer that the more fragrant soaps, shampoo, lotions, and perfumes that you wear the worse that you'll...

I've never used CV, but have used Windspree many times and have nothing but good to say about them. Karen & Kay are just the best and they live in Coral Bay, so if there are issues, they are promptly dealt with. On our first time dealing with them the well pump went down late on our first day. T...

Jeez, the first time we went to Coral Bay my wife was duly impressed by the fact that the rest rooms didn't have mirrors, and with only a couple of exceptions, the women wore little , if any, makeup. The times they are a'changin.' Now they sell falsies in Cruz Bay...

There are also some very cool, but rather creepy ruins up there. Very much a "Raiders of the Lost Ark" feel to them. I posted some pics a couple of years ago, but I don't know how to find them now.

xisland girl, MJ's Ponzu Tuna was one of my favorite meals I've ever had anywhere. The bar at Aqua Bistro is a wonderful place to chill with the local crowd, but on Friday night make a reservation and sit at a table and enjoy a fine culinary experience. I'm a big eater, and though this dish is not a...

It's a good idea to notify your bank that you are traveling. That way if a flag goes up the bank is not suspicious.
