How long does it take to get your checked bags at STT?

Post by sunlover »

Well, I've finally accepted the fact that we can't go carry-on anymore because of the new TSA rules.
So...how long can I expect to wait for my checked bag full of suntan lotion and bugspray when I arrive? Thanks!

I think the longest I've waited was about 10 - 15 minutes. It's really not bad if there aren't 5 planes all landing at once.

I've never waited longer than 10 minutes or so. There's a reason there's a bar right next to the baggage claim...if you are feeling stressed, just have your first carib a bit earlier than planned! :D

I have seen it as quick as 10 minutes and up to about 45 minutes. It does average about 20-25.

Last trip mine took 2 days. Make sure you still bring a carry-on with a few essentials...

That is a good idea to at least bring clothes but no sun tan lotion or the essentials since August 10th, maybe they will change things but as I been told by USAIR no toilteries on carry ons. Let's hope they don't lose your luggage anymore :D

It only took around 15-20 minutes. As someone already pointed out there is a bar right in the room where the luggage comes out. Also there is a liquor store right there to pick up a few provisions.
