Took an overnight cruise out of STJ

Post by MikeB »

We just got back from STJ - great weather, lots of mosquitos, and caught in the first weekend of the new travel restrictions.

The highlight of our week was an overnight cruise on a tri-maran with our group of ten. Seems extravagent but, if you're going to take a couple of excursions, this might stretch a budget without busting it.

We ferried over to Tortola and met up with the crew of the Promenade. This trimaran has five bedrooms for passengers, two of the rooms have their own head and three of the rooms share two other bathrooms.

Great owner-operated boat with plenty of water toys and a knowledgeable crew who wants you to have a good time. They're laid back and not jumping around all the time to grab you a drink. It's their home and they're comfortable in it - so were we.

We sailed to the Willy T, snorkeled at the Indians, went to Foxy's, Soggy Dollar and the sand spit. They normally charter for a full week but, since they were available and can set their own agenda as owners, they took us aboard for a 36 hour cruise.

Great way to see the BVIs and spend a day on the water.

Wow, that sounds really cool! I did not know you could do a boat charter for just one night. If we ever get down to STJ with a group maybe I'll look into this.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
