Late Night Photo Possibilities?

The Early Morning Trunk Bay post got me thinking. I'm traveling with a photographer friend who is hoping to get night shots of the milky way and early morning sunrise shots over various parts of the island. I know he is thinking about Annaberg at night and Ram's Head at sunrise, for example. It didn't occur to me to worry about this - does anyone have any caution to share?
