Looking for Great Map of the VI's - For Framing

Post by Bumblebee2 »

I'm looking for a great map of the Virgin Islands (USVI and BVI) that is suitable for framing. Anybody have any favorites?

Doesn't include the BVI, or even St. Croix, but I love these wooden maps: http://www.3dwoodmaps.com/international ... -caribbean

For my 50th birthday, my friends ordered this map http://www.trailbandit.org/maps-online/9, which you can order "rolled" so that there are no fold marks. Although this is a "historical" map, the website also features quite usable maps. During my surprise party, my friend had everyone write a greeting on the mat that she'd bought in advance of the party that fit the map. After the party, I had the whole thing framed, and it now hangs in my hallway. I love the map (clearly), but it's also really fun to stop in the hall and read what all my friends wrote on the mat.

I got one at Ruth's Spice Shop several years ago. Shows the BVIs and USVIs (both St Croix and Anegada shown as insets, lower left and upper right, respectively). Framed nicely, roughly 24 x 36" framed.
Its been a hell of a ride, destination still unknown!

LOVE both these maps. Maybe it's time to redecorate my office so that I can be in my happy place full time.

An attractive map, but a bit selective when it comes to which islands make the cut. Lovango, Mingo, Grass, Congo, and Great and Little Hans Lollik seem to have gone missing. As long as you aren't sailing by it...

All the best,

Kevin

We finally have it framed and hung. I'm very happy with the end result! This should give you a general idea on how it turned out. :D
