I believe Great Expectations is between Chocolate Hole and Rendevous Bay. (according to this pic)
I believe Tesori is at Rendevous Bay.
Either villa is pretty close to Cruz Bay. (Not walkable, but an easy drive)

How about Beach Estate and Beach Villa? http://donaldschnell.com/
We will have 10 and possibly 12. I see that there are 5 kings but where could the other couple sleep? It's right on the beach but is it swimmable? Any help is appreciated!

We've had a couple of groups of friends stay at Ristaba and enjoy it.

Ten people is a lot of people. Mix in newbies and its even more challenging. I did a Gang of 24 once. Here's a link to some hard learned travel rules for groups. Good luck!

Great Expectations is only a 5 minute drive from Cruz Bay overlooking Hart Bay to the east and Chocolate Hole harbor to the west. It is perfect for 5 or 6 couples with 4 equal Master Bedrooms and 2 spacious Guest Suites. Best of all is their new infinity swimming pool which my wife and I have enjoyed and plan to be back in next winter!

We've rented Reefside and wouldn't recommend it. There were a lot of maintenance issues and they couldn't get the A/C to work in two of the bedrooms for our week stay. I would recommend Serenata de la Playa, it was a very nice villa and a pretty easy drive to town. Tennis Villa + the cottage is also a consideration and it is even closer to Cruz Bay.

The villa that we've looked at and friends have enjoyed is Vida de Mare. I'm a Devers Bay fan.

We just returned from a stay at Chateau Margot June 21-28th. I would not recommend it for 5 couples...2 of the bedrooms (one with queen bed and the other with 2 twin beds) in the main house have a shared bath.

Sorry I have not done a Villa Review on it yet...we went on another mini vacation to the lake after returning from the islands. 8) I should be able to get it posted this week.

No luck yet. Unfortunately, we lost 2 couples. Trying to look for a place that sleeps 6 now. Any suggestions? Preferences are a pool, closer to sea level, and closer to Cruz Bay. Thanks!

Does it need to be a stand alone villa or is your group open to a condo? If so, look at Destination St. John - Palm Terrace Condos http://palmterracevillas.com/, or in the same complex - Tropical Blessings (3 bedroom). We stayed in this condo in March and really loved it! The owner also has a facebook page and it is listed on VRBO. 8)
