Mission Blue

Wow. We just had a chance to watch "Mission Blue", a powerful Netflix documentary examining the fate of the oceans, as seen through the life history of the noted marine biologist Dr. Sylvia Earle. Dr. Earle was one of the aquanauts during Project Tektite II in the waters beneath Lameshur Bay back in 1970. In the film, she is seen during the Tektite II mission, and again when she returns to Lameshur Bay in 2011. Her comparison of the coral reef then and now is sobering.
